Petition Action

Make a 999 emergency line for mental health

Petition Details

As the mental health statics increase and ambulance and police services are stretched thin. A sperate emergency service will open up the other services more.

Additional Information

The government and the royals have all noticed an increase in mental health. There is a crisis team that is stretched thin so a different service needs to be there with better funds and people who can deal with all the different mental health issues. This will then benefit the mental health people and therefore help the other emergency services and save lives.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. 999 can already take calls relating to mental health emergencies, so we're not sure whether you want a new emergency service that can be called out to respond to these calls or something else.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
