Allow employees that cannot work from home to reclaim expenses incurred.
To pass a bill to make a fair financial balance for all employees, whether they work from home or attend a place of work. The large increase of employees working from home places others (inc most key workers) that must travel to a workplace at a great financial disadvantage to their counterparts,
The benefits for employees with the ability to work from home creates a large and unfair divide with other employees that do not share the same opportunity. It provides more disposable income for those that do not need to travel to a place of work, whereas others incur numerous travel costs with public transport fares or fuel and wear & tear on their vehicles. Home workers can also claim up to a further £24 per month, pay less fuel and pay cheaper car insurance with less mileage to name a few.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly whether you'd like the Government to provide tax rebates for expenses related to work travel beyond existing limits, or something else.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
