Outlaw serving/retired MPs and Members of House of Lords from having other jobs
Parliamentary debate and refinement of proposed petition. Pass effective laws so that MPs and HofL members work only on behalf of the public and not outside interests.
There seems to be a high degree of incompetence in Government and it seems clear that this can be linked to outside interests and cronyism.
Ensuring MPs and HofL members work only for the benefit of the public should lead to better Government and help restore Public respect for politicians.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Government Ministers are already not allowed to have a job other than this and being a Member of Parliament. For other MPs, we're not sure whether you want them to be banned from taking any other jobs for the rest of their life after they cease to be a Member.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
