Reimburse all people who moved between the lifting of lockdown and 8th July 2020
I would like you to reconsider you decision around stamp duty threshold of 500k and the date it came into effect. Due to the start date not being retrospective from the end of lockdown several people have been severely disadvantaged by moving after lockdown was lifted and before your announcement.
The extra money that households will have from this will help the economy recover. All money is likely to be used on the new house what was purchased, such as new furnishings, paying tradespeople for home improvements etc.
This therefore would help everyone keep their jobs (tradespeople), boost the economy (purchasing of sometimes large items - sofas etc) and allow those who moved after the lockdown lift to be the same financially of those that moved after 8th July.
