Increase the state pension payment of £175.20 per week to £300.50 per week.
Hard working pensioners who have contributed and throughout their life should be fairly rewarded. Increase the current state pension from £175.20 per week to £300.50 per week and reward retiring individuals who have contributed back into the country via tax and national insurance.
Our older population have been the backbone of this country and for those that have worked hard all of their lives, the current state pension payment is just not enough. We want to reward those who have worked hard and contributed back into the country via tax and national insurance to be fairly rewarded for their contributions and allow the government to provide an appropriate state pension for all eligible citizens.
