Petition Action

Change the education system now! Prepare young people for 21st Century Careers!

Petition Details

Complete-Careers LLP want government, educators and employers to change education to meet 21st century work needs. Jobs don't need exams taken between 16 and 21. These are out of date. 2020 exam results highlight this. Education should provide transferable employability skills like digital literacy.

Additional Information

Young people need to be the best they can be in all the ways they interact with others in the 21st Century world. They need to be supported to learn, explore and experience the world of work and to develop the skills 21st century jobs require whilst owning their personal pathway through lifelong learning and earning. Career learning programmes, reflecting current technologies, need to inform and be at the heart of their education, preparing them all effectively for 21st Century life and work.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to change the education system.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
