Reduced fees for Universities that substitute virtual provision for classes.
Where course provision is restricted to, or includes online media this should be relative to the appropriateness of the subject. The associated fees should be reduced to ensure institutions enact virtual learning out of necessity rather than cost reduction.
The response to COVID impacts young people’s education within Primary, Secondary, Further and Higher Education. At this time it is critical that those cohorts of students currently within the system are provided with the best possible opportunities.
There are certain courses where virtual or online course content will significantly compromise the provision, the arts and sports are most challenging subjects to deliver in this way.
Universities need external governance in this matter.
