Unify UK policing under a single command structure

That Parliament debate the need to unify all regional police forces into a single entity with a single command structure to reduce the current over duplication of regional management costs, improve regional communications with a national police computer system, enable police service buyers to negotiate bulk purchase savings which would standardise uniforms and vehicle types across the country at heavily discounted prices and to use those savings to recruit greater numbers of officers on the beat.
The savings made could end the need for police subsidies through Council Tax.
