Amend the Overseas Operations Bill. Remove triple lock in cases of torture

Petition Details

Amend the Overseas Operations Bill to remove the “triple lock” against prosecutions and ensure that those who commit torture, war crimes and crimes against humanity can be held accountable in the UK.

Additional Information

British forces should lead on human rights, not get involved in abuses we all oppose.
Torture has been illegal in the UK for over 300 years.
The Government's position on torture has always been very clear. We unreservedly condemn its use as a matter of fundamental principle. The UK is committed to combating torture globally, and continues to implement an active campaign to help eradicate it.
