Tougher sentencing for Paedophile related crimes - let’s match Australia
We need stricter and more severe sentencing for Paedophilic related crimes.
Currently the sentencing that are handed out do not act as a deterrent in many people’s eyes & these sentences are far too lenient for such heinous crimes.
I feel that the UK should also be setting an example for other countries by adopting a stricter sentencing policy. A huge majority of the voting population are appalled and disgusted by these crimes and would happily support a bill introducing tougher sentencing.
Other commonwealth countries such as Australia are actively looking at increasing mandatory sentencing in these types of crimes.
The Attorney General Christian Porter in Australia said “Sexual crimes against children destroy lives”
