Petition the IPSA to waive yearly pay rise for MPs wiht a national clap instead
Given their performance during the Covid19 crisis, petition the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) to consider waiving a pay rise for MPs this year, with a national Thursday evening clap to be held instead.
There is ample evidence for the validity and success of this method of incentivising hard working public servants. The original idea in fact comes from government - to whit, clapping our NHS workers whilst attempting to cut short contracts for those who left medical educaction to assist with the covid crisis.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
