Make it easier to vary or revoke Tree Preservation Orders
The Government should reduce the requirements for varying or revoking Tree Preservation Orders when the benefits of an Order are no longer seen.
Tree protection orders are important to help protect recreational areas and trees of importance to the local area, wildlife and bio diversity. However, Orders can become outdated and no longer support any of the above but instead can hinder the bio diversity of areas. In these cases I believe it should be easier for land owners to have the orders varied or revoked, subject to criteria proving the Order is no long relevant or beneficial.
