Lead the way in sanctioning Israel to initiate viable peace processes.
Israel is a settler colonial state with ever expanding borders and settlements, that reduce the possibility of a peace settlement everyday. As we will be free from EU legislation, we should lead the way in sanctioning Israel to stop the violent ethnic cleansing regime, recognise Palestine and peace.
The UK sanctions Belarus for infringing on democratic principles, civil repression, human rights but not Israel.
The UK sanctions Bosnia and Herzegovina to promote respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity AND to encourage compliance with a peace framework but not Israel.
The UK sanctions the Syrian regime to prevent civil repression and promote negotiations in good faith but not Israel.
The trend continues but there seems to be a double standard in dealing with Israel and crimes.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
You want Israel to be sanctioned to prompt them to initiate a peace process with Palestine. However, sanctions exist to penalise actions by a nation state which breach international agreements or laws, not punish them until they take a particular course of action in future.
You may nevertheless like to sign the following petitions which call for action with regard to Israel and Palestine:
Call for the UK government to formally recognise the State of Palestine: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300450
Impose sanctions on Israel if it annexes settlements in the West Bank: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/318454
Call for an immediate end to the Israeli blockade on the people of Gaza: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/308206
