Petition Action

Protect Democracy from Fake News, Bots and Trolls with Secure Public Vote Forums

Petition Details

Create a public-contributed discussion forum that is peer-reviewed for
cited and referenced discussion to take place.

In a Public-owned forum, we can ensure that bots and trolls cannot operate by using voter authentication.

Accompanying Opinion Polls allow the now informed Public to vote.

Additional Information

In response to the Electoral Commission's findings that disinformation via social networks is a significant risk to democracy, we need to protect our democratic process from subversion by providing accurate, factual information alongside voting.

Without such a peer-reviewed repository, voting is vulnerable to Electoral Hacking through social engineering and psychological manipulation. Open, cited discussion provides unbiased facts and citations for the Public to make informed voting decisions.
