Allow sixth formers to leave school premises during school hours
Due to COVID-19, sixth form students have been limited as to when and where they are allowed to be during school hours. This appears to not be an appropriate measure as many students will be in contact with the outside world before and after school hours, so transmission rates aren’t affected.
The government only recently announced this change and is a recommendation to schools. It appears to be ineffective so far, as many students will interact with the public anyway.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government aren't responsible for the issue you raise.
The Government has issued extensive guidance to school about reopening whilst maintaining social distancing, but it does not expressly forbid sixth form students leaving the premises. The Government recommends various measures to reduce contact, including staggered start times, but how these are implemented are a matter for individual schools.
