Scrap HS2 & Foreign Aid before even considering raising taxes
The UK is in a pandemic & financial crisis. We are £2tn in debt & yet we are borrowing money to pay for HS2 & the 0.7% Foreign Aid, they are unnecessary burdens on the taxpayer.
To consider raising taxes when these 2 obvious savings are allowed to continue is plain insanity.
Cancelling HS2 & reducing foreign aid to just disaster support would save the UK approx £20bn / year. We cannot afford borrowing more money to pay for 'vanity projects' & foreign aid, when the UK finances are in this parlous state.

You could start a petition calling for the Government to scrap all overseas aid spending, or remove the 0.7% target, if that's what you'd like to see happen.
