Withdraw from treaties giving people the right to seek asylum in the UK
Under international law, it is legal for a person to apply for asylum in any country that has signed the 1951 Geneva Convention and to remain there until the authorities have assessed their claim.
People abuse this and we demand the UK government withdraws from these treaties. Nobody has an issue with a genuine asylum claims

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure whether you want the Government to withdraw from all asylum treaties, or to allow for certain cases that you would describe as "genuine asylum claims"
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
