Petition Action

Make it compulsory to directly answer a question asked in Parliament

Petition Details

Members of Parliament should be made, by the Speaker, to actually answer the question that has been asked.

More often than not, they instead resort to personal insults and / or change the subject completely.

Additional Information

So that Members of Parliament are actually made to answer for their actions rather than acting with complete contempt for the British people.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. How to answer questions or take part in debates are matters for individual MPs.
