Turn bounce back loans under 30k to grants for small businesses.
Let’s turn the bounce back loans given out to small businesses of 30 thousand pound and under into grants.
Small businesses will still struggle for years to come after the huge blow Covid-19 has had on business. If we are still in this position next year finding the repayments will be hard and make things harder on these businesses. Finding work and getting business back into the swing is going to be hard enough

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government has guaranteed Bounce Back and Business Interruption Loans, but these loans are issued by individual lenders, not the Government or House of Commons, so repayment is a matter for individual lenders and debtors.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to provide grants to businesses and individuals who have applied for these loans, to allow them to repay the loans, if that is what you want to happen.
