Petition Action

Reduce the size of school bubbles and inforces social distancing measures

Petition Details

My child is at secondary school in a class bubble of 30 and a year bubble of 240. These bubbles are not maintainable as children mix outside of these bubbles after school. Bubbles have to many children in each bubble. Schools are closing across the UK, for everyone's Saftey this needs to be changed

Additional Information

Schools are closeing across the country as cases of Covid are being found. New rules with regards to groups are being implemented. You can only have 30 at a wedding or a funeral and children's parties are now classed as illegal. So how come my child can go to school with 240 in his/her bubble and this is classed as exceptable.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand you'd like the guidance on schools bubbles to amended, but we're not sure what you'd like the bubble size to be.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, or you might like to sign this petition:
