Make a law that is specific too defacing memorials or memorial statues.
get tougher on people that damage memorials or memorial statues and also The reason is they are placed there in remembrance to people who are generally not with us any more and the heartache caused by the act of vandalization is irreparable and can cause a perpetual motion of retribution.
Please take this all the way up and publicly debate the matter and sort this out, when these things get damaged in the name of protesting and or mindless vandalism it is not right and not the done thing. I feel if the punishment is set high then people would not do it in the first place. It has been disgusting watching our cenotaph and statue of Sir Winston Churchill being damaged and has caused more demonstrations.
The punishment should be set at fines of £100,000 and or three years in prison.
