Stop the removal of cobbles from York's Shambles and King's Square

Additional Information

We the undersigned formally object to the removal and discarding of stones and surface material from The Shambles, York, and King's Square, York.

In agreement with English Heritage, we consider such action to be in direct contravention of archaeological preservation measures and such action is actively opposed by York residents.

We demand the immediate cessation of all works to resurface these areas and for damage already caused by such action rectified by York City Council.
