Offer more funding for same sex couples IVF
IVF can cost a minimum of £5000+ per Each cycle.
The NHS will give a free round of IVF after the couple have tried 12 cycles and failed.
If each cycle cost £5000 and not more... that adds up to £60,000 in total for 12 failed cycles & not the emotional trauma included.
There needs to be a change!
I myself have tried for many time’s for a child and now rely on IVF for a small chance of pregnancy, and now being in a same sex couple without savings I am unable to fund 1 cycle of IVF let alone 12!
I know that there will be more couples in the same position, and not only IVF being a stressful thing to go through anyways. The cost & failing hurts even more every single time.
Couples need more support, more discount or free cycles of IVF.
This is discrimination against same sex couples.
