The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We understand that you are concerned about the Covid-19 pandemic, but it's not clear what you want the Government or House of Commons to do.

The Government's strategy is to return to life as close to normal as possible, for as many people across the UK as possible, as fast and fairly as possible; in a way that avoids a new epidemic: www.gov.uk/government/publications/our-plan-to-rebuild-the-uk-governments-covid-19-recovery-strategy/the-next-chapter-in-our-plan-to-rebuild-the-uk-governments-covid-19-recovery-strategy--2

If you want the Government to remove rules relating to face masks, you might like to sign the following petitions:

Repeal the decision to implement compulsory face coverings in English shops: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/331430

Make the use of masks on public transport voluntary and not mandatory: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/325079

Don't make the wearing of face masks compulsory in public places in England: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/331174

We have published a number of petitions calling on the Government to change its approach to Covid-19 in various ways, some of which you might like to sign. You can view all open petitions relating to coronavirus here: petition.parliament.uk/petitions?state=open&topic=covid-19

If you want the Government to change its policy in a way that is not covered by an existing petition, you could start a new petition, but it would need to be clear what action you want the Government to take.
