Petition Action

Establish a far more robust approach to our Test and Trace Capability.

Petition Details

A far more robust approach needs to be taken as regards management of the UK's Health and Social Care. The Government were too slow to react to Covid 19. We were promised a "world leading" Test and Trace system. We clearly do not have one. Do something about it before it becomes too late.

Additional Information

The UK public deserve a much better, far more effective set of measures to help combat Covid 19. The current Secretary of State is widely regarded as being out of his depth, lacking public confidence and failing to make promises come to fruition.

We desperately need to get the Country's economy on the road to recovery; this can only go hand in hand with a much improved Test and Trace regime, underpinned by a demonstrable change of leadership at the Department of Health & Social Care.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call for a specific action. We understand that you are concerned about the Test and Trace capability put in place by the Government, but it's not clear what you want the Government to do about this.

We also can't publish petitions about honours or appointments. That includes calling for Ministers or officials to be sacked or replaced.

We have published the following petition, which you might like to sign:

Take immediate action to find and isolate COVID-19 cases and recent contacts: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/306369

If there is a specific change you would like the Government to make to its Test and Trace approach, we could accept a new petition about this, but it would need to be clear what you want the Government to do.
