Petition Action

Secondary school students should be able to wear their own clothes to school.

Petition Details

Students should be able to feel more comfortable at school since its as stressful as it is and teachers are constantly complaining about shoes, blazers, ties etc..

Additional Information

teachers are always saying for students to express themselves yet get angry when they see a student wearing a ring or having different coloured hair, i think this needs a change.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

This is a matter for individual schools and their governing bodies, not the UK Government or Parliament. If you wish your local school to allow their students to wear clothes other than their school uniform, you could contact the school directly.
