Keep 30 hours free childcare if parents lose their job due to Covid
The Covid crisis is resulting in parents being made redundant so their children will have their 30hours free childcare taken away through no fault of the parents. This will only increase the social gap in years to come. With the government putting so much emphasis on education they should act now.
Great emphasis has always been given to early years education and the impact it has on future prospects for the individual and the wider community. The government should allow the nursery aged children of those parents being made redundant directly as a result of covid to keep their 30 hours nursery placement. Great emphasis has made given by the government to close the socio-economic gap and support the lower income families and this should be done now.
