Petition Action

Publish legal advice taken relating to the breaking of the Withdrawal Agreement.

Petition Details

Publish any legal advice and / or legal opinion sort by and / or given to the UK government before the December 2019 general election relating to the breaking of the Withdrawal Agreement as negotiated by Boris Johnson's government and which he described as an "oven ready deal"

Additional Information

The "oven ready" Withdrawal Agreement was a fundamental plank of the Conservative Manifesto and 2019 general election campaign. I think it is in the public interest for it to be a matter of public record the extent to which government saw weaknesses in the deal and the seriousness in which it was taking breaking the deal prior to the general election and prior to it being recommended to the House of Commons.
