Petition Details

Bring MPs and City Mayors in line with those that lockdown measures impact in the wider economy which they represent .

Additional Information

The coronavirus scenario has created a two tier economy . You have those that can work remotely and those that can’t . Where the government asks businesses and it employees to take financial hits through lockdowns they should be prepared to take similar pain through sacrificing salaries.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
