Stop Discrimination of Ex-offenders in the Workplace
Review the Practices Regarding the Reporting of Non-Violent Crimes in the Media
Every non-violent person should have a right to earn a living, feed their families, work towards a better future and contribute to the society in which they live. This is the ideal under which the rehabilitation of offenders’ act 1974 was built. However, in the google ages we must reassess the capability with which this law can protect ex-offenders from discrimination. Ultimately by printing full names, addresses and details of offences in the media.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do, such as granting anonymity for all non-violent offenders.
