Compensate parents £60 when schools close due to strike action.
From September 2013, parents who take their children out of school could face a fine for each period of unauthorised absence.
However, schools are not punished when they damage our children's education by going on strike or closing due to the weather.
Parents should be compensated the same rate at which they could be fined by taking them out of school.
