The cost of nuclear power generation should be assessed properly using a market-based approach that takes full consideration of the associated risks and the magnitude of potential hazards. By paying the full cost of unlimited liability insurance the viability of nuclear power will be more correctly evaluated and the risks and hazards minimised.
