Mental health as a subject in schools
A request to the Government to introduce a subject on Mental Health as one of the core subjects in secondary schools There is a growing concern of children with mental health in schools that are not coping in a mainstream school setting .
Many children have underlined mental problems that have not been detected , I’ve researched to learn that the many children are in hospitals for mental health , so from a mother’s point of view I sincerely believe if there is a policy in placed in school where a subject is introduced we can detect and discuss areas of mental health issues children are going through and capture it early on . Give children to understand the different types of mental Health and help to support each other effectively .
