The UK must remain part of the European Health Insurance Certificate scheme
It would be a serious loss if UK nationals did not have the coverage of the National Health Service when travelling in Europe. Several non-EU countries are involved, and there is no reason why Britain should not too. It is for the benefit of all of us.
While in the EU the UK was automatically a member, and if any of us had an accident or serious illness we would be assured of NHS coverage in the EU and wider. There were problems over the UK not collecting charges from other countries as was our entitlement, but the basic health care of our citizens should continue, else costs and safety would be serious. Brexit, with or without a deal, would not affect this, although it appears that the government wants to end this too. We must retain it.
