Include tattoos under the law on workplace equality
Out of 327 employers asked in a survey, 14% said they would be less likely to hire someone with tattoos, and 63% said it would depend on the number and location of them.
This is completely unfair as people should be able to do what they want with their body without their careers being at stake, especially as tattoos do not affect people’s work abilities.
This just proves how society still has stigma around tattoos due to being compared to gang members and prisoners.
Even if you do not personally like tattoos, there is no evidence to suggest that people with them work worse than those without.
