Relax COVID rules on Father Christmas so presents can be delivered on Xmas day.
This petition calls on the government to exempt Father Christmas (Santa) from any quarantine periods that apply to people arriving in the UK from overseas AND to grant him an exemption from the "rule of six" or similar restrictions that may apply on visiting homes for the period covering Christmas.
To amend COVID legislation to provide a time limited exemption for the named individual to ensure the reliable delivery of Christmas presents to (good) children across the UK in a timely manner.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Under current Coronavirus guidance, deliveries to the home are still possible. You can read the latest guidance here:
www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19/homes
People delivering are recommended to:
- Minimise contact wherever possible
- Where possible and safe, having single workers load or unload vehicles.
We know that Father Christmas is already very good at both of these things, but we're sure he will continue to follow the guidance.
The Foreign Office's current guidance doesn't require that visitors from Finland, including Lapland, are required to quarantine. You can find out more here:
www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/finland
In any case, aircraft pilots and drivers of goods vehicles are not required to self-isolate when travelling to the UK. You can find out more here:
