Reverse the overseas operations bill, and recriminalize usage of torture.
The government needs to reverse the bill that is legalising the use of torture by our soldiers in contravention of international human rights. This is a breach of international law, as it has made exemptions from the European Court of Human Rights and decriminalises torture and war crimes.
We must prevent further suffering, further breachings of international law and human rights.
The government will have effectively breached the significant Geneva Convention, which has rules that if we ignore, will lead to only further chaos and suffering to countless innocent men, women and children whilst there will be no repercussions for those committing such horrible acts.
