US Employment Non-Discrimination Act
LGBT people can be fired on regards of their sexual orientation or gender identity in 29 states in the USA.
The premise of ENDA is a simple one: employees should be judged based on their merit, and nobody should be harassed or turned away from a hard day’s work simply because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. It’s now up to Congress to take action and pass ENDA into law.
We stand in solidarity with the LGBT community of the United States of America and urge you as the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom to show your support in the passage of the US Employment Non-Discrimination Act 2013.
