Ban long distance live transportation of animals for slaughter
I want the government to ban the long distance transportation of animals for slaughter.
The suffering animals endure in lengthy transport is immense, unnecessary and cruel.
As we enter trade deals with countries further afield such as Australia and New Zealand and face the possibility of a no deal Brexit, this debate becomes both more topical and urgent. Brexit gives us the opportunity to make a world first, a unique stand for the humane treatment of all animals for slaughter.
