Convicted sex offenders IP address tag for life to prevent reoffending online.
I want the government to change the law on how sex offenders are sentenced. Anyone who is given a sexual harm prevention order and on the sex offender register with have a heavily censored IP address or what is called IP tag for life.
I want government to do someyhing about it as its far too easy for convicted sex offenders, especially sex offenders who target children to reoffend online especially after prison and probation there is nothing stopping them going on social media to groom and exploit our children online. It is all of our duty as a society to look after and protect the most vunerable. With this change of the law it will be much harder for convicted sex offenders to reoffend.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
Courts can already impose restrictions on sex offenders following their convinction, including limiting internet access. How this is enforced is a matter for the courts.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
