To legislate to ban the burning and mismanagement of grouse moors.
To draw upon the clear evidence available that such practices are harmful so that a legal ban is justified.
Natural England's Voluntary Code of Practice has not worked and so there is a need for a statutory ban.
Further, legislation is needed to restore Peatlands to help combat Climate Change as the Government’s Climate Change Committee has recommended..

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you are concerned about the burning of peatlands and management of grouse moors, but it's not clear exactly what changes you want the Government to make.
We have already published a petition calling on the Government to ban the burning of peatlands, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/552993
If you would also like the Government to impose new restrictions on the management of grouse moors you could start a new petition about this, but it would need to be clear what you want the Government to do.
