Permit spectators for Step 1 & 2 Football (National league, south & North)
Allow spectators into grounds to watch non-league football. Having spectators is important for local communities and is the bloodline for many club and local businesses, who rely on match day revenues.
Spectators at matches is important for social interaction, families and bringing the local community together. Many clubs were already planning to operate COVID secure matches from October with reduced capacity spectators.
In contrast, other venues like theatres, entertainment & arts etc are permitted to have audiences indoors with no clear health / safety benefits compared to that of externally held football matches and the COVID measures being put in place.
