Internal Market Bill lawbreaking MPs to pay all fines/legal costs not taxpayers
All Cabinet members and MPs that voted to break the law over the Internal Market Bill must be responsible for all legal costs and resulting fines rather than taxpayers.
Taxpayers wrote to MPs warning them that breaking the law in this way was unacceptable. Leading lawmakers, judges and barristers warned them that the bill broke International law. It is not acceptable that those that warned against it should foot the bill.
Cabinet members and MPs can afford it. Taxpayers cannot.
