Review and reform Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
CAMHS refers to the service that is supposed to provide healthcare and support children and teenagers with mental health disorders, or neurological differences. We believe CAMHS has failed to do this for many, who are not receiving adequate support or treatment.
Mental health is very important, especially during childhood, and should be treated as seriously as physical illness. We believe the CAMHS system does not support many of its clients, some of whom can leave the CAMHS system worse than when they went in. This is not acceptable.
The Government needs to urgently review and reform CAMHS to improve support and treatment for young people with mental health issues.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
