Change planning laws so new build houses must have flooring.
The government should change the planning laws for new build houses to have flooring included in the price.
The new build houses marketed by most developers are being offered to the market without flooring. A floor which is as basic as four walls and a roof for a house to be complete is missing in the basic specifications. These builders demand extra money to put in a floor. Is this acceptable? Buying a house for most people is once in a lifetime dream. The government is trying to make housing affordable and on the other hand these developers are making it difficult.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government aren't responsible for the issue you raise. This is a matter for individual homebuyers and customers.
We could accept a petition calling for all extras to be included in the advertised price for properties to qualify for Government schemes such as Help to Buy and Shared Ownership, if that is something you would like to see happen.
