please ban the sale of fireworks and bonfires that are not organised
in my hometown of wigan there are gangs of youngsters roaming the streets at night setting of firewores and were only in the first week of october, there making life for most people a misery, there walking the streets without facemasks and if we have to go back to lockdowns who are these same youngsters going to blame only old people.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
We already have a petition calling for the sale of fireworks to be limited to organisers of licensed displays only: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/319891
We also have a number of petitions calling for bonfires to be banned in certain circumstances:
Ban bonfires between May 1st - October 1st: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/323500
Ban all bonfires in built up areas: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/330421
Ban bonfires during daylight hours: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/324851
If you want all bonfires that have not been professionally organised to be banned, you could start a new petition calling for bonfires to be banned unless they have been given permission by the relevant local authority.
