Create a hard border between the United Kingdom and Portsea Island post Brexit
Debate the creation of a hard border between The United Kingdom and Portsea Island post Brexit to maintain the standards and quality of life in the United Kingdom as a whole.
Portsea Island is a known entry point for sub standard quality in the UK, by creating a hard border and "Portsea Passport" for it's residents the country can maintain a higher standard of life for all residents of the UK.
Brexit gives us the opportunity to improve the weak links in the country & this solution would provide such a measure.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Portsea Island is part of the UK, so would not be subject to any customs or other border arrangements the Government establishes after the transition period.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to increase funding for the detection and enforcement of illegal imports, if that is what you want to happen.
