Healthier school meals A healthy diet should be part of children's education
My son just started in reception year at Staple Hill primary school.
I have been disappointed by the hot school meals (ie hotdog, pizza, macaroni cheese etc..) And same menu for 3 weeks
I believe a balanced healthy diet is part of our children education
This needs to be discussed in parliament
I have high respect and high hopes in the British government as I believe we all want the best for our children education
Please visit this link to see an example of a menu for reception year in France

I believe an effort should be made for our children to be given the best education in all areas
I also believe that there would be a very minimal extra cost for this to be achieved
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Compliance with the School Food Standards is mandatory for all maintained schools. These standards are set out in legislation, which you can view here: www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2014/1603/contents/made
The Government publishes guidance on school food in England, which you can view here: assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/788884/School-food-in-England-April2019-FINAL.pdf
If you want the Government to change the School Food Standards we could accept a petition about this, but you would need to be clear how you wanted the standards to be changed.
