Introduce minimum milk price for farmers to establish better British practices.
The government should introduce a minimum milk price that farmers should receive per litre of milk that increases alongside inflation to enable farmers to afford huge changes needed in environmental and ecological development and to ensure cattle management is set to a high standard.
Consumer price and market has been dictating milk price since the collapse of the milk board and has driven to supermarkets taking larger cuts while farmers prices have remained stagnant. To ensure that the British farming economy develops to sustain British production standards we need to promote good practice and fair pricing. pricing must be focused on the farmers rather than the overall milk price to consumers to ensure a guarantee to farmers which will drive Standards of British farming
