Petition Details

Reform the DVSA so that it must consult with the 45,000 Approved Driving Instructors/Potential Driving Instructors who pay £300/£140 respectively to be registered in order to have reliable information when introducing new reforms, changes & road safety measures. Driving Instructors must have a voice

Additional Information

Overhaul/reform the existing DVSA system to consult with ADIs/PDIs/Driver trainers giving them a greater voice & introduce: An election for a new Chief Executive with re-election 4 yearly. Examiners to have at least 3 yrs prior ADI experience The Standard Check Test/Grading to be based on the instructor’s pupil pass rates. If it falls below a national average over 4 yrs, only then should the instructor undergo a Standards Check Test. PDIs to have a 12 mth trainee licence to gain experience
